Hello everyone, My husband and I moved to California in July . We just wanted to move away leaving all our painful memories in Buffalo NY. My husband and I were devastated with my 3 miscarriages and we were willing to try one last time or go in for adoption. That is when we found about Dr. Cherry and came to know more about him through some friends and research. Finally we met with him and we felt so comfortable and reassured .
I went in for 4 months for treatment and the next thing I know I had conceived . It was unbelievable . I also went to him for miscarriage prevention and it really helped me to overcome my anxiety and irrational fears. In fact I always looked forward to my visits as he was kind, caring and compassionate and I could see it in him. That is the primary reason why I chose to get treated by him. I don't know where to start besides a big Thank you to Dr. Cherry and your staff for giving my husband and I our special gift. After being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome in June 2009 after trying to conceive I was told fertility medication would be the only way for us to have children. We decided to try pills and after 7 failed rounds and being told injections was the only way I found Dr. Cherry online by faith. I began treatment in October of 2009 and enjoyed every moment and became very close to Dr. Cherry and Val. They gave me constant hope and positive feelings at every moment of my journey. After 5 months of treatment I decided I needed a personal break from all of the baby things after no successful ovulation, Little did I know I had ovulated and became pregnant!!! 1 week after I found out I called Dr. Cherry and told him the amazing news, I think we were both shocked. I had not ovulated in 14 months and through all of Dr. Cherry's expertise and determination here I am 15 weeks pregnant with the most precious gift anyone can ever receive. Our path to conceiving a child wasn't the easy road we expected it to be. However, it was made much easier by Dr. Cherry and his staff. After trying to conceive for more than a year, we discovered that my cycles were very abnormal and that we also had male fertility issues, which meant that IVF was our only chance at conceiving the child we so desperately wanted. A close friend who had also been through IVF recommended that I go to Dr. Cherry for acupuncture prior to and during the IVF process. I didn't know much about acupuncture before that but thought I would give it a try. Dr. Cherry's bedside manner and calming spirit immediately put me at ease and helped me relax during what is a very emotionally draining and physically stressful process.
Within weeks, my cycles became more regular and my usual monthly issues, like terrible cramps, went away. Although our first IVF was unsuccessful, I continued to visit Dr. Cherry in preparation for another attempt. Those visits not only helped prepare my body to go through the process again, but helped me heal and deal with the pain of our first attempt not succeeding. It all paid off in the end when we found out we are expecting twins!
I have continued to visit Dr. Cherry throughout my pregnancy and his treatments really helped with my morning sickness, back issues and other pregnancy woes. I cannot stress how much I appreciate all he has done to help my husband and I realize our dream of having children. I truly don't believe this all would have come together without him.

I began seeing Dr. Cherry after miscarrying our first pregnancy and three failed IUI’s. We were heading into our first IVF and I read that acupuncture can often help increase your chances of getting pregnant. I had very little experience with acupuncture. My grandmother had used it several times for arthritis, but I had no idea there were fertility benefits.
My first meeting with Dr. Cherry completely put me at ease. I was not afraid of the needles, he answered all my silly questions about why this point? Why that? What is up with all the pulses? Overall, I felt very comfortable and relaxed in his care. I saw Dr. Cherry once a week for 2 months leading up to my IVF. At 40 years old, I was anxious knowing odds were not in my favor, but acupuncture seemed to ease that anxiety. My side affects from the medications were reduced (I suffered from headaches very badly with the last three rounds) and my overall attitude going into the stressful IVF process was less than with our previous, less invasive procedures. My husband commented several times about how calm and relaxed I was (and if you know me…these are not adjectives usually used to describe me).
Our first IVF resulted in a good number of follicles and a good transfer of 3 embryos. I did get pregnant, but sadly…lost the pregnancy very early. These things cannot be stopped if they are meant to be. But I did acupuncture before and after transfer and it was wonderful.
We continued to see Dr. Cherry as we decided on our next steps. One more try…that was the answer. And this time I needed acupuncture even more as this was the LAST attempt. That along increased the anxiety level. But once again….my weekly appointments calmed me, gave me hope and kept me centered. We sailed through the procedures, continued the acupuncture and had a wonderful outcome. Once my pregnancy test was positive, I saw Dr. Cherry once per week for the 1st trimester and once per month for the remainder of the pregnancy. He helped me with swelling, back pain, nausea and to relieve my stress and fear about another miscarriage. Overall….a fantastic experience and I have since recommended him to anyone I know who needs help conceiving.
Fast forward 2 years later and we are back. We decided to adopt embryos and do a frozen embryo transfer to grow our family. I would not even consider doing and fertility treatments anymore without including acupuncture. And this time, we sailed through and got pregnant on the first try. But…the first several weeks were scary with spotting and questionable ultrasounds. I was a wreck emotionally and looked forward to my weekly (and sometimes biweekly) appointments as they calmed my nerves and put me at ease. We are now anxiously awaiting the birth of our 2nd child and I enjoy my monthly visits to see Dr. Cherry.
Not only would I recommend acupuncture for anyone struggling with infertility…but specifically I would recommend Dr. Cherry and his phenomenal staff. They feel like family to us and we miss them when we are not here regularly.

"I am a mom." I waited six years to say that simple phrase. Two months before starting my fourth round of IUI (after years of other treatments and procedures) my mother suggested I try acupuncture. Of course I should, why didn't I think of that before. I started weekly treatments. I felt different after my first treatment ...I was relaxed. I had one hour a week that I was allowed to simply relax. I didn't have to think about the shots, the sadness or the frustration that I had felt every day for the past six years. I just got to be. After the first month, the relaxation followed me beyond my appointments. I was breathing more, I was sleeping better and I had less sever mood swings from all of the hormones. My final round of IUI was not successful and it was time for Invitro. On the day of the transfer I met Dr. Cherry for a pre and post treatment. I walked into my appointment so relaxed. I was ready, my body was ready, it was time.
I remember the day I received the call - "Well, Keri it is a good day for you...you're definitely pregnant." Words cannot describe what I felt at that moment.
I kept my weekly acupuncture appointments through my pregnancy and had very few symptoms and those symptoms that I did get were lessened thanks to acupuncture.

I know without a doubt that acupuncture helped my body and my mind prepare for pregnancy. I also know without a doubt that acupuncture was a nice thing to do for me. Dr. Cherry and Dr. Horton are absolutely wonderful and create a very warm and compassionate environment for women who are going through a very stressful and sad time in life and for that I am very grateful!
What can I say about Dr. Cherry? I am not a woman of few words so let me tell you all my story and how I came to see Dr. Cherry. When I first tried getting pregnant at the age of 32, I thought I would have no problems. Little did I know that I would suffer from 3 miscarriages and would end up at a fertility clinic. This was in December of 2003 and I was desperate for answers. I ended up having multiple surgeries within my uterus which left my endometrium very thin from all of the scar tissue. I had a baby, via fertility treatment, in Oct. of 2005. I had a very hard delivery and ended up having surgery after my daughter was born. When my husband and I decided to have another baby we went back to the fertility clinic. I had another surgery and then tried fertility treatments three times, each time it failed.
After thousands of dollars and much sadness, my fertility doctor told me that my chances of getting and staying pregnant were very small due to the fact that I had a very thin endometirum from all of the scar tissue in my uterus and that fertilized eggs would have a hard time sticking and embedding itself into the wall of my uterus. I had basically given up. I decided that I should feel blessed, and I did, with a healthy 2 year old girl. That was when my best friend told me to go and see Dr. Cherry. He had helped her get pregnant and he could help me too.
I figured, what the heck. It was worth a try. How blessed I was to have been afforded the opportunity to be one of Dr. Cherry's patients. Dr. Cherry saw me once a week and he really took the time to find out what it was that was causing me to not be able to get and stay pregnant. He developed a personalized herb regimen for me to follow that would help with my specific fertility issues. Through his weekly treatments and daily herbal program, I began to gain the confidence that not all hope was lost. I had been trying for over a year to get pregnant, spent a ton of money and was injecting myself with so many fertility drugs it makes my head spin. Once I gave that up and followed exactly what Dr. Cherry told me to do, I felt a burden had been lifted from my shoulders. I remember having a conversation with Dr. Cherry after about 3 months of treatment. I asked him if he really and truly thought there was hope for me. He looked me in the eye and said, "I absolutely know there is hope for you. If I didn't you would not be here. If it ever comes to a point where I feel this is not going to work, I will let you know, but we are no where near there right now." That was in March of 2008.
I found out I was pregnant on May 7th 2008 and I gave birth to a very healthy baby boy on December 29th, 2008. I saw Dr. Cherry throughout my entire pregnancy. I got pregnant on my own with no fertility treatment and I stayed pregnant! How truly fortunate I was to have been one of Dr. Cherry's patients. To anyone that has lost hope or given up, I tell them to see Dr. Cherry! I will be 40 years old this year and I do not plan on having more children so now I just have to stop by every once in a while to see Dr. Cherry as I do miss our weekly visits!

I cannot speak highly enough about the level of care that Dr. Cherry provided to me before, during and after our twin pregnancy. From the intake appointment through lactation issues postpartum, he was a cherished part of our "team", as I refer to them, and I know that he played an intricate part of our successful pregnancy and birth.
My appointments were relaxing and I always left feeling we were doing all we could to keep our babies safe and healthy. I had 3 miscarriage prior to receiving Dr. Cherry's treatment and when my IVF clinic mentioned the possibility of acupuncture, I was willing to take whatever steps were necessary -- this was what was necessary for us.
I have referred Dr. Cherry to several friends trying to get pregnant and would recommend all women see him for treatment -- no matter how you are trying to conceive.

After experiencing the loss of 2 of my babies, one in my 2nd trimester and one in my first
trimester, I was extremely depressed and in need of some answers to why I had these
repeated losses. My OBGYN had suggested that I go to a local fertility clinic to begin a
large array of tests which ended up leading me to more anxiety and stress, and was costly.
Many of the tests came back normal with the exception of a low antral folical count which
was most likely due to my maternal age of 38. It was recommended that we do FSH
injections which my husband and I weren’t comfortable with so we decided to try a different
approach to getting pregnant. Dr. Cherry was recommended to us by friends who we met from a local infant loss support group. I didn’t know much about acupuncture, but was willing to try something different and less envasive to getting pregnant.
When I first met Dr. Cherry, I was extremely impressed by his professionalism and his throughness during my assessment. He truly loves what he does and it shows. I had so many questions about acupuncture and he answered all of them and explained them completely. He was very understanding of my situation and showed true empathy for the losses that my husband and I experienced. After I was given a diagnosis, I was placed on a program that consisted of taking herbs, changing my diet and having acupuncture treatments. I was amazed at how I began feeling better both physically and emotionally after only several treatments. I was thrilled when I got pregnant naturally in only 5 months after my 2nd loss. I went for weekly treatments until the end of my first trimester and then monthly sessions for the remainder of the pregnancy. The treatments that I received during my pregnancy helped my overall being. I felt less nauseated and more optimistic about the pregnancy. I would always look forward to my appointments knowing that I would have a chance to relax and I always left the office feeling better than when I went in. At one point later in the pregnancy, I was diagnosed with syatica which I was told by my Doctor that I would most likely have during the rest of the pregnancy and may need to quit work early. I couldn’t walk without excruciating pain. After 2 sessions with Dr. Cherry, I had no pain and was able to walk again and continue working until I went on maternity leave.
I am now happy to say that we have a healthy baby boy who is one week old. I am so grateful for the care that I have received by Dr. Cherry and his staff. Thank you Dr. Cherry for helping make this pregnancy a success and for your caring approach towards my treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Cherry and his colleagues to anybody who is struggling with fertility issues and wants to try a different approach to getting pregnant.

Sadly I lost my first child to a miscarriage in my second trimester, shortly thereafter was where my infertility story began. My husband and I spent a couple of years trying to conceive again with no success. During that time I went to a fertility clinic, took fertility medications, even underwent laparoscopic surgery to find the answers, and yet still was sent home with a confident “unexplained infertility” diagnosis. After months of fertility medications and negative pregnancy tests, I began to have more hot flashes than hope. I decided to break from all the shots & pills and discontinued all fertility meds and treatments. My husband and I never had doubt that we would conceive whenever we decided to start a family, but we were wrong. We went to see the fertility specialist and had a test to determine a cause of infertility. We were diagnosed with “unexplained infertility” and were recommended to start taking medications to stimulate ovulation. We still believed we would conceive soon with some treatment. We were wrong again. Over the next 2 years we went through 1 cycle of IUI and 7 cycles of IVF and still had not conceived. We were very frustrated and medications drove me physically and emotionally crazy. We felt we had enough of these approaches and decided to try naturally. Several years had passed, without any luck. We started to accept the fact that we would live our lives without any child. However, when I turned 38 years old, I strongly felt that I would like to try one more time. We tried IVF which failed again. I still could not give up but I was very determined that I did not want to go through IVF again. Then I heard from a few of our friends who also suffered from infertility who had combined IVF and acupuncture treatment and successfully become pregnant. I started to look for an acupuncture doctor in the Sacramento area, on line, and I found Dr. Cherry, licensed acupuncturist specializing in infertility. From the first visit, I could feel that he is very warm and sincere. He diagnosed that my spleen and kidney chi were weak. He told me “unexplained infertility” responds well to acupuncture treatment but because of my age it might not be easy. He asked that I give him at least 6 months to try. I felt very comfortable with his approach. He gave me some hope but not unrealistic high expectation. My husband and I talked and decided to try his treatment for 12 months. After 4 months of his treatment, he told me my body is ready to conceive and this could happen anytime. At exactly 6th month after I started his treatment, we found out we are pregnant. It was hard to believe it finally happened to us. We tried to stay very low key and didn’t tell anyone until 13 weeks of gestation. We were very accustomed to being ready for disappointment from our previous painful experiences. My pregnancy is going very smoothly except minor discomfort which was also significantly improved with acupuncture treatment performed by Dr. Cherry. Our baby is due in 5 weeks and we cannot thank Dr. Cherry enough that he helped us and our family to have such a wonderful joy to welcome a precious little one in our lives.

About four years ago, my husband and I started trying to have a child. After about a year without success, we were sent to a fertility clinic and told InVitro Fertilization was our only option. A friend had told me that acupuncture and Dr. Cherry were a great compliment to IVF. After doing some research, I realized that IVF is actually well supported in the literature for improving odds with IVF. On our first attempt at IVF and acupuncture, I was pregnant. Not only pregnant, I was having twins! We could not have been more excited! We wanted a baby so bad and now we were lucky enough to have two. At 22 weeks pregnant, I went into labor and delivered my baby girl, Catherine and my baby boy, Carter. I was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix (basically a weak cervix that opens whenever it wants) and my twins passed away due to their young gestational age. It was the toughest year we have ever experienced following the loss of our babies.
Exactly three months later, we decided to try again. Fortunately we had two frozen embryos and went through with a second IVF transfer along with acupuncture. I soon found out I was pregnant again with one baby. I decided to do acupuncture throughout this pregnancy just to be on the extra safe side. I had many problems with this pregnancy - including two bleeding episodes in the first trimester - so severe that one ER doctor told me I had a miscarriage. When they finally discovered that I did not lose the baby, I knew this baby was tough and going to make it. Right after these two bleeding episodes I saw Dr. Cherry. He reassured me and did special pins during my session to help with bleeding issues. I do not understand how exactly acupuncture works, but I know I would not have made it through that pregnancy without the care he provided. More problems asrose as I was diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder (Factor V Leiden and MTHFR), diabetes, and put on bedrest despite my cerclage (stitch to sew up my cervix). I had preterm labor at 28 weeks and put on medicine for that. All along the way, Dr. Cherry saw me and changed his plan of care as my pregnancy progressed.
To make a long story short, we now have our baby boy Chase that we love so much. Thank you Dr. Cherry for helping us get to where we are today. I have included a picture of our little miracle!

I can clearly remember the day my husband and I decided to start our family. It was September, fall was on the horizon. We were excited and ready to bring a little one into this world and into the life we had built together. I never imagined that I would have any trouble getting pregnant. After nearly 9 months of trying finally a positive pregnancy test! After just 6 joyous weeks I miscarried. It was a terribly heartbreaking time in both of our lives. Before I knew it, it was September again and still I had no baby. I was crushed over my miscarriage and discouraged. Dr. Cherry and his staff are AMAZING! My story is a bit non-traditional. After delivering a stillborn at 37 week we were devastated. 5 months later I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After a double mastectomy my cycles were irregular due in part to all the trauma my body had just been through. My doctors needed to start me on medication for the Cancer that could prevent me from having more children so it was important that I became pregnant quickly.
We became very discouraged at our failed attempts and were about to give up all hope when I started see Dr. Cherry. While under his care I became pregnant and continued to see him throughout my pregnancy until my beautiful baby girl was born......healthy and happy....our miracle!!

My husband and I started seeing Dr. Cherry when we were trying to get pregnant (through in-vitro) with our 3rd child. Our birth story was a long and trying one. Dr. Cherry ended up being the light at the end of the tunnel and we will be forever thankful.
At age 35, we tried to conceive a child. A year later after no luck, we got referred to a fertility clinic. We went through all of the procedures from clomid on up to IVF. Nothing worked. A friend referred me to Dr. Cherry about a month before the IVF treatment. I kept working with Dr. Cherry after the failed IVF and my plan was to keep working with him for about 6 months before we would try a second attempt at IVF.
With Dr. Cherry’s help and a leave of absence from work on my part, I was able to conceive within three months of the failed IVF without any medical intervention or procedure. After a three year ordeal, I was finally pregnant!
I kept working with Dr. Cherry, seeing him every week during the first trimester and then once a month until our baby boy was born. I felt like the treatments kept me balanced and was reassured by studies that show that acupuncture treatments can reduce the risk of miscarriage. At age 38, I wanted to do everything I could to ensure a healthy pregnancy and delivery. We were blessed with a very healthy and strong baby boy in April of 2007.
As the clock continues to tick away, we knew we didn’t want to wait too long to try again for a second child. I decided early on that I would not go back to the clinic to seek help if I had difficulty conceiving a second time. However, I would and did go back to Dr. Cherry. Within six months of seeing Dr. Cherry and receiving acupuncture treatments, and only two months of trying to conceive, I was pregnant! We are currently awaiting the arrival of our baby girl and I have every reason to expect that she will be as happy and healthy as her older brother.
If we decide to try for a third child, there is no doubt in my mind that I will once again seek Dr. Cherry’s help.
